Why Manbaa
The word Manbaa (منبع) means the spring — the source a river rises from. That's the role we play: the source your company's intelligence flows from. We organize your information and workflows into a foundation, and everything downstream — decisions, automations, the tasks your team hands off — flows from it.
A spring starts small and feeds a whole basin. A few agents, placed at the source, cascade value across the organization. And a spring never stops running — your AI works overnight, between meetings, across time zones. Rooted in Saudi ground, built to flow globally. Not translators, not resellers, not another app vendor — the engineers who build the source.
What we believe
- The bottleneck is the substrate, not the model. Cloudera's 2026 report found only 32% of Saudi leaders have visibility into where their data resides, and 62% say data access is their biggest AI roadblock. AI applications fail in production because the foundation underneath them is missing. We build that foundation.
- The market is crowded with apps. The substrate layer is empty. Big-4 firms write you a strategy and leave at a price most Saudi companies can't justify. National champions like HUMAIN serve sovereigns and ministries. Local boutiques sell chatbots without the data plumbing under them. The mid-market substrate quadrant — Saudi-Arabic, PDPL-credible, foundation-grade, at mid-market price — is structurally empty. That's where we live.
- Your data stays in Saudi. Sensitive workloads run on on-premise GPU you control, or in sovereign Saudi cloud. PDPL posture is built into the Foundation from day one, not bolted on. Anyone can plug into OpenAI. Almost nobody can make AI work inside a Saudi org, in Arabic, on the customer's terms.
- Arabic is the work, not a checkbox. Half the value of AI for Saudi companies sits in Arabic documents, contracts, customer conversations, regulatory filings. We treat Arabic as the primary language, not a translation layer. Saudi-dialect awareness, Hijri calendar, government form schemas — built into the Foundation.
- We compound what we build. Every engagement makes the next one faster, cheaper, and more reliable — we reuse what works and keep refining it. We are not a one-off consultancy.
- Plain words win. AI is mystified, and prior bad chatbot experiences make Saudi buyers skeptical. We disarm that with plain language — we skip the buzzwords and say what we do and what it produces.
What we don't do
- We are not an app vendor. The chatbot / copilot / AI-app market is crowded; we are not in it.
- We are not a model maker. We use ALLAM, Falcon-Arabic, Jais, and frontier cloud models as appropriate.
- We are not a hardware reseller. We deploy GPUs as part of Foundation; we don't sell them separately.
- We are not a multi-tenant SaaS platform. Each customer's Foundation lives in their environment.
- We are not a strategy consultancy. Every engagement has a working deliverable.
Who we work with first
Three priority sectors: family-conglomerate holding companies, private healthcare networks, and mid-market law / accounting / advisory firms. Each shares the same structural features — Arabic-heavy documents, multi-location complexity, and a substrate gap that AI applications keep tripping over. See Industries for the detail.
The team
Founded by Saudi founders with deep roots in AI and enterprise transformation, alongside Saudi and international AI engineers. The team scales as the engagements land. Saudi engineers bring language, network, government literacy, and Nitaqat compliance from day one. International engineers bring frontier-model fluency. The pairing is the moat.
